A Fish Tale

Recently I've been having some problems walking. My feet feel numb and after walking for some time I start limping especially on the left foot. The pain feels like I've cracked a bone in my left heel and my toes feel like they're broken.
After 3-4 weeks with ups and downs, I went to see my NP who prescribed a doppler and a deep vein ultrasound to rule out clogged arteries and/or blood clots. I had that done a week ago. In the meantime, I researched my symptoms on the internet. Found all sorts of things but the one that stuck out was symptoms for "gout" with the main cause eating too much fish and something else I can't remember right now. Too much fish. I don't even like fish. But I do take fish oil to help with my cholesterol. AND in the past 2 months, I doubled my daily intake after reading something in some journal suggesting such and such. Could I be over-fatty-aciding myself?
That same day I cut my intake in half and after two days cut it in half again. I can now walk without limping and I am beginning to again feel my feet. The symptoms are not completely gone but I'm definitely on the mend.
I have to disagree with Mae West when she said in her sultry drawl, "Mmmm... too much of a good thing is never bad, big boy." It's obvious she never took too much fish oil!
